•  Once the item has reached the final delivery terminal, the delivery company will contact you and you will have 2 business days in which you will be required to set the delivery appointment.
• The person who purchased the Steelwater Safe must be present at the delivery location at the time of the scheduled delivery.
• The recipients signature must be present on the drivers copy of the delivery receipt and any notes of damage must also be on the drivers copy of the delivery receipt for claims purposes.
• A full-sized tractor trailer (semi with up to a 53’ trailer) must be able to navigate the roads to your location, park at the end of your driveway safely, and be able to exit the delivery location. 
• The driver will then lower the item down to the ground and move it as close as possible with a manual pallet jack. 
• From this point, it is the buyer’s responsibility to move the safe from this location.  Garage delivery is not guaranteed and will be performed only “if possible”. 
• Garage delivery will only be attempted if the driveway is paved, relatively short, and fairly level.  The delivery company will not drive up the driveway or onto private property regardless of the size of truck used. 
• If the requested or preferred delivery location is not accessible for the delivery company, the buyer must make accommodations to pick up the safe at a suitable location approved by the delivery company the day of delivery or within 2 business days after contacted by the delivery company. 
• NOTE: If the scheduled delivery appointment is missed, you must be available for redelivery within the following 2 business days.  The item cannot be canceled or refused due to delivery issues.  If the product is canceled or refused due to delivery issues, the product will be returned to our location and the shipping charges plus a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund amount. 
• Call for further details and/or other delivery options such as smaller truck availability and guaranteed delivery date service.  The delivery company only delivers Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm excluding holidays.  A specific time cannot be requested, but the delivery company will provide you with an estimated delivery window.

 

Product Inspection Upon Delivery

• DO NOT SIGN THE DELIVERY RECEIPT UNTIL INSPECTING AS FOLLOWS: If there are no visible signs of damage to the box or item, you may sign the delivery receipt and let the delivery company leave.  Make sure to unbox the item and inspect it immediately even as the delivery driver is walking back to the truck.  If you find damage, contact us immediately. (We will put tape over any damage to the box prior to leaving our facility) 
• If the safe is lying down, covered in plastic shrink wrap, and/or you see visible signs of damage to the box or item, the driver is required to wait for you to unpackage the safe and inspect it for further damage. However, this must be done in a timely matter.  If you find some damage but you still want to keep the safe, make sure to notate the damage on the delivery receipt so that we can file a claim and offer compensation.  Take pictures of the damaged areas prior to unpackaging and after unpackaging. Contact us immediately to start the claim process.  If the compensation offered is not acceptable, you will still have the option to return the item for a full refund or replacement. (Compensation amount is usually offered within 24 hours.) If there is too much damage or the delivery driver refuses to let you inspect for further damage, then refuse the safe and we will ship you a replacement safe or refund your money in full upon return.  DO NOT ACCEPT THE ITEM WITH DAMAGE WITHOUT NOTATING THE DAMAGE ON THE DELIVERY RECEIPT PRIOR TO SIGNING.
• Note: Someone must be present at the delivery location at the time of the scheduled delivery. The recipients signature must be present on the drivers copy of the delivery receipt and any notes of damage must also be on the drivers copy of the delivery receipt.

 

 

Refund & Return Policy

• Unsatisfactory returns will be accepted for a period of 14 days from the day the safe is received.
• All safes must be returned in the original box with all packaging material, they also must be properly secured for shipping to help prevent any damages while being returned to the warehouse.
• All returns must be properly packaged and placed in an easily accessible area, not inside the house, in order for the freight carrier to pick up the safe.
• Customers will be responsible for all shipping fees to the address of delivery and shipping fees back to the warehouse.
• Please note that all fees paid for the installation of a dehumidifier are non refundable.
• All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Additional fees may be assessed if a safe is not returned in the original packaging and/or has been damaged during the return shipment back to the warehouse.
• At no time will Steelwater Gun Safes be responsible for the removal, installation, or packaging of any safe that is being returned for any reason.
• All charges will be determined by Steelwater Gun Safes but will be fair and considerate to the buyer.

 

Product Warranty 

LIFETIME FIRE GUARANTEE:

Steelwater Gun Safes backs all our fireproof safes with a lifetime warranty against fire. Steelwater Gun Safes will replace any Steelwater fireproof safe that has been damaged in a fire with the same or a comparable model to include all freight costs to the original address of purchase. Customers must supply all requested documents to an authorized Steelwater Gun Safes representative before replacement. The cost for replacement cannot exceed the price originally paid. LIMITED WARRANTY:

Steelwater Gun Safes warranties all parts and labor on all safe purchases for a period of one year from date of purchase against any manufacturer defects. Steelwater Gun Safes will only warranty parts or components installed by Steelwater Gun Safes prior to shipment. Steelwater Gun Safes will not warranty any digital component installed on a safe that is installed within the floor. Steelwater Gun Safes does not warranty any damages caused by mishandling, neglect, water, tampering, improper installation, removal and/or re-installation of a safe.  Re-setting of any combination on a Group II combination dial lock must be performed by a qualified locksmith or the warranty will become void. The warranty is valid for the original purchase price of the safe. Steelwater Gun Safes will at no time become liable for the cost of installing and/or removing any Steelwater Gun Safes or any contents or valuables that may be stored inside any Steelwater Gun Safes.

WARRANTY CLAIMS:

All claims against Steelwater Gun Safes must be approved by an authorized Steelwater Gun Safes representative. All repairs must be approved by a Steelwater Gun Safes representative before any warranty repairs can be completed. Steelwater Gun Safes reserves the right to refuse payment/ reimbursement to any service provider or customer for any warranty repair that is completed prior to obtaining approval / authorization. This warranty may not be applicable to clearance, discontinued, and/or scratch & dent safes. Please contact an authorized Steelwater Gun Safes representative for more details.

DELIVERY DAMAGE CLAIMS:

Make sure to inspect the safe(s) before signing the delivery receipt.  If you see visible signs of damage to the box(s), the driver is required to wait for you to un-package the safe and inspect it for damage, but it must be done in a timely manner.  If you find some small damage but you still want to keep the safe(s), make sure to notate the damage on the delivery receipt so that we can file a claim and try to get you some compensation. If you find more damage later, it gives us the ability to have the safe picked up and replaced at the delivery companies’ costs.  If there is too much damage, then refuse the safe and we will ship you a replacement safe or refund your money in full upon return.

If you find no signs of damage to the packaging, you can let the delivery company go because they are not required to wait if there are no signs of damage but make sure that to un-box the safe(s) even while the driver is walking back to the truck.  If you find damage, then stop the driver to notate the damage on the delivery receipt or call in for a claim number.  If the delivery driver has left the location, contact us immediately to notify us about the damage.  No claims will be considered after 24 hours of receiving.

If you have notated damage on the delivery receipt, there is no need to inspect the functionality while the delivery company is at the location as this can be done upon further inspection prior to filing the claim.

Make sure to follow these inspection details or a claim cannot be filed, and the item cannot be returned or issued a refund or discount.
